Sized for the units your machines use in daylight

Solar produces during the day, when a B2 unit costs Rs 22.83. A spare unit sold back earns Rs 8.13. So we size the system to the load you run in daylight, and add batteries only where the evening peak or load shedding costs you more.

Three ways to set up solar in a factory

Which one suits you depends on your load, your shift hours and, most of all, your budget.

On-grid for the machines, hybrid for the outages

Load shedding
  • Feeding the hybrid inverter
  • Feeding the on-grid inverter
  • Off while the grid is down

A 14 kW on-grid system runs the machines, and a separate hybrid system keeps the essentials on. Six panels always feed the hybrid inverter. When load shedding starts, six more switch over from the on-grid side, so the hybrid system gets more solar power during the outage.

From your bill to a running system

Four steps. The factory keeps working through all of them except a short planned switch-over at the end.

  1. Send your bill and load details

WhatsApp a photo of your last bill. Tell us your sanctioned load, your shift hours and which machines must keep running.

  2. Site survey and shed check

We check the roof or steel shed that will carry the panels, and add supports where it needs them.

  3. Quote with a generation estimate

The written quote shows the units the system should produce each month, so you can check the saving against your bills.

  4. Installed while you keep running

Panels and wiring go in during working hours. Only the final switch-over needs a short planned shutdown, and we agree the time with you.

What after-sales covers

Support is free. Repairs depend on the product warranty and on what caused the fault. Routine work is paid.

What factory owners ask us

More questions and answers →
Will installation stop production?

No. Panels and wiring go in while the factory runs. The final switch-over needs a short planned shutdown, and we agree the time with you.

On-grid or hybrid: which is right for my factory?

It depends on your load, your shifts and your budget. If the budget allows and your peak load is around 30 kW, we recommend hybrid, which keeps machines running through load shedding. If you run in the daytime and want a smaller bill rather than a zero bill, on-grid with a zero-export device is the cheapest option, but it gives no backup.

What does a zero-export device do?

It stops the system sending power back to FESCO, so the solar only runs your own machines. An exported unit earns Rs 8.13 under net billing. An off-peak unit you stop buying saves Rs 22.83 before tax on a B2 connection, so the value is in the units you use.

Can our shed carry the panels?

We check the roof or shed structure before we quote. Where it needs strengthening, we add supports and include them in the quote.

How big a system can you install?

From small workshops to systems over 1 MW. We start from your sanctioned load and the load you run in daylight.

Do you handle the FESCO net billing application?

Yes. If you want to export and sell units under net billing, we prepare and submit the application for you.
